The Victory Fund is proud to offer two $1,000 scholarships to help support your health care education if you live in Lake County, are a graduate of Lake Superior School District or a St. Louis County High School, you may be eligible for one of two scholarships. Because when you get the best training, our communities get the best care.
Founders’ Fund Scholarship
Application Deadline: April 15th of every year.
This $1,000 scholarship, granted in two $500 annual gifts, is designated for residents of Lake County, Minnesota or a graduate of Lake Superior School District who are pursuing an education in the health care profession.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be accepted to an accredited school of higher education which offers an Associate of Science or Arts Degree (or higher) in a healthcare field as stated below.
- Applicants must pursue a degree in the health field, such as: medicine, nursing, healthcare administration, pharmacy studies, medical technology, medical records, x-ray technology, dentistry, dental hygiene, occupational health, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, medical social work, psychology or paramedic.
- Applicants must be a graduate of Lake Superior School District or a resident of Lake County Minnesota at the time of application and award.

Dr. Jerry Church Community Health Sustainer’s Award
Application Deadline: April 15th of every year.
Named for one of Two Harbors’ best-known physicians and designed for residents of Lake County, Minnesota, graduates of a Lake, Cook or St. Louis County High School who are seeking a career in rural health care, this $1,000 scholarship is gifted in two annual $500 sums.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be accepted to the College of St. Scholastica RN Nursing Program, the University of Minnesota Duluth School of Medicine, or Lake Superior College RN Nursing Program.
- Career goal of being a family practice physician, nurse practitioner or registered nurse in a rural health care setting.
- A graduate of Lake, Cook or a St. Louis County High School, or a resident of Lake County Minnesota at the time of application and award.
